Dylon Hand Dye Deep Violet 30 is a 50g fabric dye designed for hand dyeing smaller textile items and craft projects. The Deep Violet shade provides an intense purple colour suitable for refreshing faded garments, changing the colour of suitable fabrics or adding a vivid finish to textile projects.

The hand-dye format is suitable for items that may not be convenient to dye in a washing machine. It can be used for smaller clothing items and selected delicate textiles, as well as craft and decorative projects.

The dye is suitable for natural fabrics including cotton, linen and viscose. It can also produce lighter shades on suitable wool, silk and certain polyester-blend fabrics. Results depend on the original colour, fabric composition and quantity of material being dyed.

One 50g sachet is designed to dye up to 250g of fabric to a full shade. Larger quantities of fabric can be treated for a lighter colour. A salt addition is required during the dyeing process to help achieve the intended result on suitable fabrics.

For hand dyeing, the dry fabric should be weighed and thoroughly washed before dyeing. The dye is dissolved in warm water and added to a suitable container of warm water with salt. The fabric is then submerged and stirred regularly during the dyeing process before rinsing and washing.

Materials & Care Instructions
