The Microplane Chili Mill from the Specialty Series is a purpose-built manual chili grinder designed for finely processing dried chili peppers directly into flakes or finely grated seasoning. Its compact black design combines a comfortable hand grip with Microplane's signature photo-etched stainless steel blade technology.
This cutting action helps release the natural oils and aroma of dried peppers, allowing their flavor and heat to distribute effectively over finished dishes. The mill is particularly suited to seasoning pasta, pizza, sauces, soups, stews, vegetables, meat and other savory dishes with freshly processed dried chili.

A Precise Pressure™ spring mechanism inside the handle provides controlled pressure against the chili during operation. The ergonomic, velvety-feel handle is designed for a stable and comfortable grip, while the manual operation requires no batteries or electrical connection.
The mill accommodates dried chili pods and is designed to be used by removing the lid, loading the dried peppers, replacing the grinding head and applying pressure while turning the mechanism.
A practical silicone closure is included to cover the underside of the mill when not in use, helping prevent residual chili particles and spice dust from escaping into a kitchen drawer or cupboard. The product measures approximately 5.5 × 5.5 × 20–21 cm, depending on the published specification.
