Product overview
Microplane 2-in-1 Spice Mill Afterdark Grey Manual Grater with Stainless Steel Blade & Airtight Spice Storage
The Microplane 2-in-1 Spice Mill Colour Edition in Afterdark Grey combines precision grating and convenient spice storage in one compact manual kitchen tool. Designed specifically for hard whole spices, it provides freshly grated ingredients directly when cooking, baking or finishing dishes.
Unlike conventional grinding mechanisms that crush ingredients, the finely engineered cutting surface is designed to cut spices precisely, helping release their natural aromas and flavours.

The manual operation is straightforward. Remove the top, place a suitable whole spice into the base, replace the top, press down and twist clockwise while holding the base securely. The amount of pressure applied during operation influences the texture of the grated spice.
The mill is particularly suited to nutmeg, cinnamon, Tonka beans and Indian long pepper, as well as various other hard spices and nuts. Freshly grated spices can be dispensed directly over dishes and drinks, making the mill useful for sauces, desserts, baked goods, savoury dishes, hot drinks and table-side finishing.
Its integrated 2-in-1 construction adds a practical storage function. The upper section incorporates an airtight compartment for keeping whole spices ready for subsequent use, while the included silicone cover helps keep the mill and countertop clean when it is not being used.
The Afterdark Grey Colour Edition provides a contemporary, understated appearance that complements modern kitchen interiors. Its compact approximately 12 cm height makes it easy to store in a kitchen cupboard, spice area or alongside other countertop cooking tools.
