The CrossAction brush head uses precisely angled bristles to target areas between teeth and along the gumline, helping remove plaque from areas that conventional round bristle arrangements may not reach as effectively.

The brush heads incorporate Oral-B CleanMaximiser technology. The indicator bristles transition from green toward yellow as the brush head is used, providing a visual reminder that it is time to replace the head. Oral-B recommends replacing a brush head approximately every three months, or sooner if the bristles become worn. 

The CrossAction design contains more than 2,200 angled bristles and is positioned by Oral-B as a superior-cleaning brush head compared with a conventional manual toothbrush. Oral-B states that the design can remove up to 100% more bacterial plaque than a regular manual toothbrush.
