Product overview
Bosch UniversalHedgeCut 18V-50 Cordless Hedge Trimmer 18V 50cm 20mm Brushless 2.5Ah Battery & Charger
The Bosch UniversalHedgeCut 18V-50 is a cordless hedge trimmer designed for maintaining medium-sized hedges and shrubs. Powered by Bosch's 18V POWER FOR ALL battery platform, the tool combines a brushless motor with a 50 cm cutting blade and 20 mm tooth opening for trimming branches up to 20 mm thick. Bosch specifically describes the model as suitable for hedges such as conifer, privet, laurel and beech.
The hedge trimmer uses a laser-cut and diamond-ground blade designed to provide sharp, consistent cuts. Its 50 cm blade gives a broad cutting path, while the 20 mm tooth opening accommodates relatively thick hedge branches. The no-load stroke rate is 2,800 strokes per minute.

Bosch's patented Anti-Blocking System is designed to help prevent interruptions when the blades encounter thicker branches. When the system detects a potential blockage, it adjusts the cutting action to help the blades continue through the branch rather than remaining jammed.
The supplied 2.5 Ah lithium-ion battery belongs to the Bosch 18V POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE. Bosch specifies a battery charge time of approximately 60 minutes with the supplied AL 1830 CV charger and lists compatibility with other 18V POWER FOR ALL ALLIANCE tools.
Bosch the tool dimensions as 992 × 240 × 189 mm and the tool weight as 2.6 kg excluding the battery. The complete working weight will be higher when the supplied 2.5 Ah battery is installed.
