Zep Contractors Solvent & Degreaser is a heavy-duty professional solvent cleaner designed for demanding cleaning, degreasing and residue-removal applications around workshops, garages, gardens and general maintenance environments.

The multi-purpose formula is effective against a broad range of stubborn contaminants, including grease, oil, grime, wax, gum, wet adhesives, stickers, tar, polish, wet paint, ink, scuff marks, silicone, sealants, wet PU foam, carbon deposits, asphalt, bitumen and brake dust. This makes it useful as an adhesive remover, silicone sealant remover, tar remover and general-purpose degreaser for contractors and DIY users.

The 500ml aerosol format allows controlled application directly to the area requiring treatment. Zep states that the product is effective on most surfaces including metal, glass, plastic, painted surfaces and painted or sealed wood. It is designed to work on difficult residues without leaving an oil film, helping prepare surfaces for subsequent cleaning, treatment or finishing.

For general cleaning, apply the product to the affected area, allow it to work for approximately 5–10 minutes, wipe away the loosened residue and rinse thoroughly with warm soapy water where appropriate. Always test compatibility on an inconspicuous area before full application.

The product should not be used on rubber, suede, leather, silk, untreated wood or elastic materials. Compatibility with some carpets may vary, and it should not be used on rubber-backed or foam-backed carpets or mats.

This is an aerosol solvent product classified as extremely flammable. Keep away from heat, sparks, flames and other ignition sources, do not pierce or burn the container, protect it from sunlight and do not expose it to temperatures above 50°C/122°F.
