The Dexam School of Wok 36cm Pre-Seasoned Carbon Steel Wok is designed to bring authentic Asian-style cooking into the modern home kitchen. Developed in collaboration with School of Wok, the 14-inch wok combines traditional carbon steel construction with a practical flat base suitable for contemporary hobs, including induction.

The carbon steel construction heats quickly and can withstand high cooking temperatures, making the wok suitable for stir-frying, searing, deep frying, curries and stews. High-heat cooking helps create the caramelised flavours associated with traditional wok preparation.

The wok comes pre-seasoned, so the initial seasoning process has already been completed. Its seasoned carbon steel surface provides natural non-stick properties that can improve with continued use and regular maintenance. Unlike a conventional coated non-stick pan, the seasoned surface does not rely on a separate synthetic coating that can scratch or wear away.

The generous 36cm diameter and 3-litre capacity make this wok suitable for preparing larger portions for approximately 4-6 people. The flat bottom provides stability on the hob and makes the wok compatible with gas and smooth-surface induction cooking.

Bamboo handles provide a comfortable grip and are designed to remain cooler during cooking. The wok includes a main handle and helper handle for easier lifting and handling. For long-term maintenance, the wok should be hand washed, dried thoroughly and heated briefly on the hob after cleaning to remove remaining moisture and help prevent rust.
