The FireAngel 1 x 1 metre Fire Blanket is a practical fire safety accessory designed for use in kitchens, homes, garages, caravans and campervans. Made from lightweight, fire-resistant fibreglass fabric, the blanket provides an effective way to smother suitable small fires by covering the flames and cutting off the fire’s oxygen supply.

Measuring 1 x 1 metre with a 0.43 mm material thickness, the fire blanket has a working temperature of up to 550°C / 1022°F. Its generous size allows it to be used as a protective shield while approaching a suitable small fire and can also be used to wrap around clothing in the event of a clothing fire.

The FireAngel fire blanket is particularly suitable for kitchen fire safety, including chip pan and cooking-oil fires where using water can cause hot oil to splatter and spread the flames. It can also be used for waste paper bin fires, clothing fires and small firepit fires when conditions are suitable.

The blanket is stored inside a hard, wipe-clean protective cover that helps protect it from dust and moisture. The wall-mountable design allows the fire blanket to remain visible and readily accessible during an emergency. Pull the release tapes downwards and outwards to remove the blanket from its casing, hold it in a shield position, gently cover the fire and leave the blanket in place until the area has cooled.

The FireAngel fire blanket is certified to the European Safety Standard EN 1869:2019 and provides an essential addition to a home or travel fire safety setup.
