The School of Wok 2-Tier Bamboo Steamer Basket is a traditional natural bamboo steamer designed for authentic Asian cooking at home. With a 25cm diameter and two steaming tiers, it provides a practical way to prepare multiple foods at the same time while allowing steam to circulate around the ingredients.

The bamboo steamer is particularly well suited to bao buns, gyoza, dim sum, fish, vegetables and other steamed dishes. Its two-tier construction allows different foods to be cooked simultaneously, helping make efficient use of cooking time and wok space.

The steamer is constructed from natural bamboo and is stitched rather than stapled, providing a traditional construction method designed for durability. The woven bamboo structure allows steam to circulate through the cooking chambers while helping retain the natural texture and flavour of steamed ingredients.

Developed by chef Jeremy Pang and School of Wok, the steamer is designed to complement the School of Wok range of cookware. It can sit inside School of Wok woks, including larger 14-inch/36cm models, making it useful for preparing authentic Chinese and other Asian-style dishes.

For best results, food can be placed on non-stick greaseproof paper or a suitable reusable silicone steaming mat. The bamboo construction should be washed by hand and allowed to dry thoroughly. It is not dishwasher safe and should not be treated as an oven-safe cooking vessel.
