The School of Wok Carbon Steel Wok Lid is a heavy-duty 12″/30cm wok lid designed to complement traditional Asian cooking techniques in the home kitchen. Manufactured from durable carbon steel, the domed lid is designed to sit approximately 1cm inside a compatible 30cm wok rather than resting over the outside rim. This creates a close-fitting cooking environment that helps retain moisture and heat when steaming, poaching and finishing dishes.

The dome-shaped design provides additional internal clearance compared with a flat lid, making it practical for steaming foods inside a wok while helping to retain flavour and moisture. It can be used with both carbon steel and non-stick woks and is particularly suited to 12″/30cm School of Wok woks. The lid can also be used with compatible School of Wok wok styles, including the Skinny Wok and 13-inch round-bottom wok.

A bamboo knob provides a practical grip for lifting and positioning the lid during cooking. The School of Wok design was developed in association with chef Jeremy Pang and the School of Wok cookery school in Covent Garden, bringing professional Asian cooking techniques into domestic kitchens.

The carbon steel construction is intended for durable everyday use, while the hand-wash-only care requirement helps preserve the cookware’s finish and bamboo component.
