Zep Cement Remover is a concentrated liquid cleaner designed to tackle cement haze, mortar residue and limescale deposits left behind after tiling, masonry and construction work. Its specialist formulation is intended for cleaning suitable ceramic tiles, bricks and masonry surfaces where ordinary household cleaners may not effectively remove hardened construction residue.

The 1-litre formulation can be diluted with water for controlled cleaning strength. Zep’s UK product instructions specify mixing 1 litre of Cement Remover with 10 litres of water, applying the solution with a brush or sponge, allowing approximately 10 minutes of contact time and then rinsing thoroughly with clean water. Heavy contamination may require repeat treatment.

The cleaner is suitable for both porous and non-porous ceramic tiles and can also be used on bricks and masonry. Zep specifically lists non-limestone natural stones such as slate, granite and quartzite as suitable surfaces. This makes it useful for post-installation tile cleaning, masonry maintenance, patio and paving cleanup, and removal of construction-related deposits.

Before use, the product should always be tested on an inconspicuous area. 

This is a specialist acidic-type cement and mineral residue cleaner rather than a general-purpose everyday surface cleaner. Appropriate protective equipment and careful handling are recommended.
